UPDATE: The Victoria Residential Builders Association placed 1st for fundraising in the “Spirit of Giving” category at the Festival of Trees for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation. This is the 6th time VRBA members have led in fundraising to support children in critical care. Thank you VRBA members and all those supporting our tree at the Bay Centre during the holidays!

In good and tough economic times, there are always those in need.

This year has been especially challenging with so many impacted by COVID-19.

Health concerns are high on the list, yet many charitable organizations will not receive the donations seen in past years.

That is why it is important this year to support fundraisers and assist so many in our community.

One such fundraiser is the Festival of Trees for the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation helping children benefit from research and critical care equipment.

Organizations throughout Victoria, including VRBA members, decorate a tree and step up with donations.

Enjoy the true spirit of this holiday season by contributing to the precious gift of health for children and their parents.

VRBA also supports Habitat for Humanity, Threshold Housing Society, CFAX Santa’s Anonymous, Times Colonist Christmas Fund, and Goldstream Chum program.

Consider these important fundraisers and others during the holidays.

All of us face obstacles in our lives, but there is a time to put these aside and support those with greater challenges.

Now is that time.

Giving back is a wonderful way to enjoy the season, while helping others in need.

We can look forward to a much better 2021.

Happy holidays!
