Canada’s leaders in sustainable West Coast design and construction recently celebrated their projects at the 2018 CARE Awards.

Project of the Year – Single Family was awarded to Christopher Developments Inc for Beachside. Project of the Year – Multi-Family was presented to Mike Geric Construction for Travino Landing.

People’s Choice Award went to Clarkston Construction for My Time while Green Builder of the Year was received by Verity Construction

Building Better Futures Community Award was presented to Built Green Canada for its commitment to environmentally-friendly construction based on affordability education, and proven practice.

As always, the CARE Awards are as much about people as the projects.

Award for Excellence in Housing Affordability was presented to BC Housing in partnership with the Vancouver Island Health Authority and Nanaimo Travellers Lodge Society for Eden Gardens, a project providing housing and care for people with dementia.

VRBA’s Lifetime Achievement Award went to John Sercombe, Limona Group for leadership in Built Green construction and affordability.

Mike Dalton, Citta Group won the Bill Wansbrough Memorial Award for important contribution to the industry and charitable giving.

Award for Best Apprentice was presented to “Koko” Relleve, Città Group, Herman Rebneris Student Carpentry Award to Maluchi Tully and Student Design Award to Alyson Wheeldon. Each receives $500 from the Victoria Residential Builders Association.
